01/28/2017 Welcome Home Ranch Boys and Road Trip

I am getting behind in my daily posts and that certainly is not something I want to do is play the catch up game.  So I am going to end up missing a few days.  The Stats (Jared’s parents) stayed with us for the weekend.  We were able to go on a picnic on Sunday with the boys from Welcome Home Ranch.  They are all such good boys.  They certainly have taken the hard road to get where they are.  Here is a picture of Steven.  He looks so good.  We also took a little road trip and showed the Stats around some.  This is a cool picture of the Old Courthouse in Florence.

01/27/2019 Out of Africa

We had such a fun day.  Kelli and Brandt invited us to go to Out Of Africa with them for Kelli’s birtday.  It is about 2 hours away just outside of Camp Verde.  It was a great exerience.  We would totally do  it  again.  A little pricey but worth it.  Of course we are cheapskates. Everythng is pricey to us.  It was fun to hang out with Abbie and Londyn.  Abbie still doesn’t like me very well. 

01/26/2017 Eagle Scout

I went to Denton’s (Kirk’s son) Eagle Scout presentation.  It was very nice and everyone had great things to say about Denton.  I felt like I had created a bond with him a couple of years ago at the family reunion.  He is a really nice boy 

01/25/2017 Got to take Care of these little Sweetie Pies.

Today is our Kelli’s birthday. She is 26 and officially off of our insurance now. We are glad we were allowed to cover her until 26. Both these little cuties were born while on our insurance. I was happy to get to take care of them for a little while tonight. Londyn wasn’t sure at first. She did cry quite a bit and I was so sad for her. But after a while she did warm up to me and finally had some smiles and giggles. As you can see Abbie stayed entertained with my Jewelery. We always have to go into my bathroom and get it I finally put everything she can play with in a basket it totally keeps her entertained. I love the opportunity to watch grandkids.

01/24/2017 Wall Collage

I love how this turned out.  Even though I still need to put some photos in the frames.  Just not sure what to put in them yet. Right now I have an obsession for clocks.  I am a collector it is pretty obvious when you look around the house.  From roosters to clocks to lanterns to fat belly birds.  Oh if we had lots of money….. Maybe that wouldn’t be such a good thing then I would have lots of stuff that really doesn’t mean anything to anybody but me. 

01/23/2017 Insta Pot Insta Dinner

Some of the kids gave us an Insta Pot for Christmas.  I have used it only a handful of times so far but know as I get used to it, I will use it a whole lot more.  It is great.  I made some bacon, potatoe, cheese soup tonight, it only had to cook 5 minutes and we had soup.  It was awesome and the soup was awesome.  Love it! 

01/21/2017 Fry Bread!

Make it and they will come.  Fry Bread that is.  The kids love it.  Well we all do.  Mike and Georgene are here so we invited the kids over and made pop overs.  I was too busy cooking and holding grand babies to get very many pictures but here is my photo (photos) for the day. 

01/20/2017 He can do anything!!

So my post tonight is not a picture I took but they are pictures Brian sent to me.  This boy can do anything he wants to.  He teaches himself all kinds of things  How to sew, cook and even crochet.  Oh and yes he can do anything that guys normally do.  If there is something to be done he can do it.  As you can see he is trying very hard to not stick his tongue out. 

 

01/19/2017 Procrastination!

That seems to be what I am very good at.  PROCRASTINATION!  I have 2 weeks to make this yarn into a baby afghan.  I wanted to have it ready when Emma was born but that didn’t even begin to happen as you can see it is still in skeins of yarn.  David always says I work best under pressure. I guess it is because I have to get the job done.  Hopefully I can.

I love this entry table.  David made it for me.  I do want to update it and make it more modern with some white paint and dark stain on the top.  But it is a great place to put my seasonal decorations.  I realize I need a few more Valentines decor. 

01/17/2017 Cane’s Chicken

These cute kids stopped by and brought dinner to share.  I always enjoy family.  I loved how animated Vaughn was when we were talking about hunting and Big Foot.  I expressed an interest in going shooting and Vaughn was all over that.  He wants to put together a gun for us now. 

01/16/2017 New Potholders

I love getting new potholders and hand towels.  Why do I wait so long to replace these potholders.  They get old and nasty before I finally replace them.  And that is it.  That is my photo for the day.  Lame!!

01/15/2017 Love Family!!

Fun evening!  Heather was here to run the Rock N Roll marathon.  Because she was there the girls decided to come over for a while.  I love seeing all the little grandkids play together.  They had so much fun!!! A little crazy for Papa.  He didn’t get much sleep.  I don’t mind them running up and down the stairs and through the house.  There really isn’t anything they can damage.
