Our Annual Pumpkin Carving October 2013

Every year we get together eat and carve pumpkins.  The kids love it.  The parents do too.  Maybe not the carving so much but the food and visiting.  Lots of fun!  Lots of people!  Lots of memories.  David and I fixed popovers the kids favorite.  We haven’t made them for a log time.  Yummy.

 

 

 

 

   

   

   

 

 

Ashley’s Mission Update

Well I think I should try to do some current updates while I am trying to put my blog back together.  Ashley has been out on her mission 3 months tomorrow.  The time on one hand seems to be going very fast but on the other hand it is going so slow.  Her letters are good, she is growing so much in the gospel and I think learning to look more outside herself.  She shares a new gospel thought or principle that she learns every week.  I have received emails from one of the families in one of the wards she serves in with pictures attached.  That has been so great.  I even received an email from her cute little companions mother.  Ashley was called to be a trainer about 2 weeks ago.  So proud of her. I do see the blessings coming to our family while she is serving.  Not that everything is perfect but there is a calm that I feel as we support her on her mission.  I know there will be great blessings for our whole family as she serves. She sent home her SD card so I am going to post some of her pictures. 

Lesson Learned

Well, I learned an extremely important lesson about 6 weeks ago.  Don't change or delete the email your blog is attached to.  That is right you guessed it.  I lost my whole blog.  I was sick. I was trying to clean up my email accounts and it was attached to one I didn't use so I decided to delete the email.  I thought I had changed it to a different email address but it didn't work.  Why I thought I had to delete that email address is beyond me.  Oh well.   I was able to recover a lot of the text but not the pictures. I can probably put it back together and will because it is kind of a journal of the past few years.  Well, as good as journaling gets with me.  I will try to reinstate my other entries, even though I know it will take lots of time.  I will probably make some random posts for a while as I am trying to document some of the things that have been going on in our lives.   These things are important to have down.  (Just don't loose them)
